Knowledge of the English language at the level B1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
The course aims to provide students with a grammatical preparation of the English language at the B1+/B2 level of the CEFR by developing the four fundamental skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) as well as a knowledge of the specific vocabulary of the economic sector
At the end of the course, students will be able to understand and write texts on topics in their field of specialization and interact orally with autonomy of expression in English, especially in the field of their future work
The course covers the following topics.:
· Grammar: revision of the main grammatical structures of the English language at B1+/B2 level of the CEFR..…………………………………………………………………………………;
· Vocabulary: specialized vocabulary of the business sector concerning topics such as human resources, business travel, cultural differences and ethics in the workplace, leadership, competition …………………………………………………………………………………;
· During the course there will be practical exercises in English, both individual and in groups, regarding situations that can be encountered in the business fields: how to socialize with colleagues, take part in a meeting, ask for and give information on the telephone and make agreements, write work emails, give a presentation, carry out a negotiation. The last part will be dedicated to the Europass, the job interview and the contract………………………………;

The exam consists of a written test which is divided into 2 parts. The first consists of a Listening, a Reading, a Vocabulary exercise and a Grammar exercise. In the second, the student will be asked to put into practice what has been studied at a theoretical level (e.g. hold a negotiation, give a presentation, write a mail, etc.).
