Presentazione
Eleonora Cutrini holds a PhD in Economics from the Marche Polytechnic University (Italy). After completion of her PhD, she has been postdoctoral fellow at the Marche Polytechnic University and at the Insubria University (Italy). She spent visiting periods abroad at the Sussex European Institute (UK) and at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany).
She is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Macerata (Italy) where she also teaches Principles of Economics and Financial Statistics at the undergraduate levels.
Her main areas of investigation have been the spatial concentration of industries in the context of the European economic integration, the evolution of industrial clusters in advanced and emerging countries and the international fragmentation of production processes. She is also currently pursuing a novel line of inquiry related to the effects of financial crisis on emerging economies with a specific focus to the “decoupling” hypothesis.
