Obiettivi del corso

Provide students theoretical basis of the international rules that govern
international trade and investment. The course undertakes an in-depth analysis of
the rules regime of the WTO. This will include the examination of the policy
objectives behind the rules, the compromises resulting from the complex negotiating
process, and the operation of the rules. A special focus will be dedicated to China.

(This Syllabus shall be intended for ALL students. A dedicated syllabus might be
agreed with students according to their own particular situation, i.e. CFU recovery

Metodi didattici
  • The course will mainly consist of 'active' lectures (also with the presentation of
    slides, for a greater focus on the student), divided into various modules / parts of
    the program. With particular reference to certain issues, will be dealt with the
    analysis of case studies and / or regulatory texts, useful for the student to a
    better understanding of the subject.
Modalità di valutazione
  • Oral exam = will count 80% - Aimed at verifying the understanding of the knowledge
    acquired during the course.
    Class Participation = will count 20%
    It will be highly appreciated the student actively participate during the lessons.
    Students are expected to come to class prepared and willing to discuss the readings,
    cases and class exercises.
