Provide students theoretical basis of the international rules that govern
international trade and investment. A special focus will be dedicated to China.
Students will be able to autonomously analyze main Treaties and Conventions and on international trade. They will be able to identify and resolve the typical matters related to international contracts (i.e. the applicable law), related to the worldwide protection of intellectual property assets and solve alternatively disputes among parties of an international contract.

The course will mainly consist of 'active' lectures (also with the presentation of
slides, for a greater focus on the student), divided into various modules / parts of
the program. With particular reference to certain issues, will be dealt with the
analysis of case studies and / or regulatory texts, useful for the student to a
better understanding of the subject.
- Oral exam is the default method. Nevertheless, during the lectures students and professor can agree for the written modality (alternatively to the oral one) and/or a mid-term test. The professor will keep all students updated through the institutional course's web page.
Exams are aimed at verifying the understanding of the knowledge
acquired during the course.
In case of attendance, It will be highly appreciated the student actively participate during the lessons. Students are expected to come to class prepared and willing to discuss the readings, cases and class exercises.
