METHODOLOGY:
The process of academic writing is explained from the perspective of Register and Genre Analysis. The lessons are Task Based, using videoclips from BBC documentaries and news programmes, newspaper reports and articles.
- ASSESSMENT:
There will be a 90-minute written test in which candidates have to either, (a) write a five-paragraph discussion essay; (b) describe a historical process; (d) summarize and combine data taken from two or more texts; (e) describe, summarize and comment upon data from graphs and/or charts.
The medium of instruction will be English
