The main methodological approach is the communicative approach, which considers language as an essential tool for communication, based on the integrated development of the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). When selecting and presenting texts, the composition of the class will be considered, fostering motivation and thus engaging students actively in the lesson and learning process through assignments, group work, lectures, and the use of technology.
Class activities will include both written and oral exercises, aiming to develop the ability to manipulate the language at an intermediate level.
Content and formal aspects, key themes, text types, and the context of authentic materials related to the fields of economics and sustainability will be highlighted.
Multimedia resources (slides, online digital materials) will be used in the classroom.
At the end of the course, students will be required to take a written test consisting of multiple-choice and open questions, completion exercises, reading comprehension, and a short written production. The test aims to assess the understanding of key language concepts applied to economic and financial contexts, as well as grammatical competence at the B1/B2 level.
