Since 2005 I am associate professor in History of Christianity at the University of Macerata. I am author of several studies in my main research field: History of the Church and religious history (13th to 15th century), with special attention to the history and role of the Mendicant Orders (Franciscans – Dominicans – Hermits) and to some major themes: preaching, holiness and cult of the saints, cultural life (mostly as for books and libraries). About the some topics, my attention has been progressively focused (in the last 15 years) on the 15th century: starting from the preaching and the sainthood of some prominent members of Italian Observant reforms of Religious Orders, I am focused - at present - on the Italian Franciscan Observant reform in its relationship with European religious reforms experienced during the 15th century.
