Müller-Jacquier Bernd
Vita Bernd Müller-Jacquier
Born in East Germany (Dessau) and raised in West Germany, Bernd Müller-Jacquier studied AppliedLinguistics at the Universities of Bonn, Toulouse (France) and Tübingen 1969-1973). Following his Masters' Degree, he studied as a Fulbright grantee Urban and Overseas English Programs at Indiana University, Bloomington (including a Summer term at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst).
His research focuses on questions of how to teach German as a Foreign Language and initiate at the same time intercultural competencies. He conducted empirical research on intercultural communication in multicultural teams, or in guided tours for international tourists. In the field of intercultural training, he served as president of SIETAR Germany. In the field of German as a Foreign Language, he is an experienced teacher author of textbooks.
