Basic knowledge of Public law or Constitutional law or International law
The course aims to develop the students knowledge and understanding on global environmental issues and on the interactions between international, European and national laws. International environmental governance, principles and the main international treaties will be covered by the course as well as the most pressing issues such as climate change, the water crisis, energy transition, green human rights and environmental justice.
Students are expected to be able to understand and discuss global environmental issues and how global environmental law impacts on both international trade and human rights.
The course deals with global environmental law and, in this first module A, explains the foundation of the international legal framework :
