Obiettivi del corso

Knowledge and ability to understand: The course aims to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the most important topics of art, fashion and tourism law, with a modern approach and also with reference to new technologies, such as blockchain, smart contracts, NFTs, crypto art, crypto fashion and artificial intelligence.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the course will develop the students' ability to autonomously read and interpret regulatory texts and to know the case law on the subject, to independently identify and manage legal issues related to art, fashion and tourism, with a particular focus on new technologies. Students will acquire the full capacity to correctly approach legal issues by confidently using concepts and methods.

Autonomy of judgement: during the course students will analyse and discuss specific legal issues related to art, fashion and tourism law.

Communication skills: during the course students will develop the communication skills required in the field of tourism, art and fashion and will learn to explain legal issues related to art, fashion and tourism, including the problems posed by new technologies, and their solutions.

Learning skills: given the speed of development of the sectors involved, a proactive approach on the part of students will be encouraged, providing them with the tools for continuous self-education.

Programma del corso

The study of the subject will provide a solid knowledge of the legislation and various issues related to art, fashion and tourism law.

The course will introduce students to art, fashion and tourism law, providing a knowledge on the main legal aspects related to these sectors. In particular the course will focus on European, International and Italian discipline on art, fashion and tourism law; art and fashion contracts; right and remedies in art and fashion law; travel, transportation and accommodation contracts; consumer protection; passengers' rights; protection of artworks; protection of fashion products; intellectual property rights; copyright protection; circulation of artworks and fashion products; sustainable fashion; illegal trade of art and counterfeit of fashion products; protection of cultural heritage; legal issues related to exhibitions, museum and foundations; non fungible tokens; crypto art and crypto fashion; artificial intelligence; new technologies and tourism.

Metodi didattici
  • 1. Teaching approach: theoretical, applied.

    2. Types of lectures mostly used: frontal lecture; interactive lecture; laboratory activities; seminars; classroom exercises, group work; planned interventions of students under the supervision of the lecturer; interventions of experts.

    3. Instrumentation adopted: use of multimedia supports in the classroom - pc, slides and other materials.

     

Modalità di valutazione
  • The final exam will be oral and in English. It will focus on the lectures and the materials given by the lecturer.

    The exam is aimed at verifying: the depth of knowledge gained; the clarity and correct use of technical terminology; the critical and methodological skills acquired.

    For the final exam, both attending and non-attending students can choose between an oral presentation on a topic agreed upon with the professor or an oral exam on three questions about the subjects of the course.

    In both cases, the evaluation criteria will be: (a) knowledge and ability to understand the handbook(20% of the total overall assessment); (b) ability to make connections between the handbook and the case studies (20%); (c) ability to apply knowledge (20%); (d) autonomy of judgment and critical thinking (20%); (e) transposition of acquired knowledge in terms of professional usability (20% ).
