Metodi didattici
  • The course will be delivered in classes with a strong focus on cases decided by the Court of Justice of the EU and sometimes by national courts. Students will be invited to take part in discussion on issues treated in class and to give presentations on judgements of the Court of justice of the EU or other official documents of the EU Institutions. Use of multimedia: ppt presentations, audio-visual sources from official websites and the Internet.

Modalità di valutazione
  • The examination will be conducted orally. The examination will consist of two to four open-ended questions. In order to pass the examination, the student must demonstrate that he/she has read and analysed the normative text (possibly also clarifying it with examples); express him/herself with language properties; demonstrate logical-deductive skills. Normally, the ability to apply the knowledge acquired constitutes an increase in the final assessment.

    In this context, the assessment will normally be composed as follows.

    a) knowledge and ability to understand texts: 30% of the overall assessment;

    b) ability to make connections: 30% of the overall assessment total;

    c) autonomy of judgement and critical thinking: 30% of the overall assessment total;

    d) ability to apply the knowledge acquired: 10% of the overall assessment total.

    Students are advised that the values indicated represent a useful guideline for the teacher in calculating the final grade, but that they are indicative and not binding.
