At the end of the workshop, students should be able to identify and understand the legal implications of technological and digital innovation in the EU agri-food sector, apply the knowledge gained, and present it clearly and comprehensively.
The workshop, to be held in English, aims to explore the relationship between innovation and EU food law, looking at the role that innovation (both technological and digital) is playing in posing new questions to legal scholars and offering an overview of the legal issues that are most relevant today in light of current sustainability goals.
During the workshop, some legal issues related to the following topics will be addressed:
- Employment of digital innovation in the agribusiness supply chain (AI, IoT, blockchain, etc.);
- Employment of technological innovation in the agrifood supply chain (biotechnology, new genomic techniques, etc.).
The analysis of case studies will also be proposed.

Participating students will be evaluated based on their engagement and participation in the workshop activities.
Students will orally discuss a case study.
The purpose is to assess the level of knowledge and understanding of legal issues related to the topics covered during the workshop, the level of analysis and critical thinking skills, as well as the use of appropriate legal terminology.
