Leone Sciabolazza Valerio
Valerio Leone Sciabolazza is assistant professor at the University of Naples Parthenope. Before joining Parthenope, he has been a Postdoc Associate at the Swedish Institute for Social Studies, and at the University of Florida.
Valerio is an applied economist and his research interests center on spatial econometrics, the econometrics of networks, and the new science of networks.
He conducts research in different lines of work. He published on leading international peer-reviewed journals about network diffusion processes and the mechanism underlying innovation externalities, the spillover effects of conflicts on economic growth and migration behavior, the role of political patronage networks in determining legislators’ activities. For his research activities, he has been recipient of grants and awards in Italy and the United States.
He also works as associate editor for the Journal of Economic Geography, and he is a consultant for the World Bank and the United Nations International Fund for Agriculture and Development.
