Dear students,
The University Language Center (CLA) and language professors from different departments of the University of Macerata have collaborated to offer a series of free specialized courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
One of the specialized courses is "English Reading and Writing Skills for Professional and Academic Purposes". The course is designed to help students improve their reading, interpretation and writing skills of specialized or semi-specialized texts in academic and professional contexts, with particular reference to the tourism, cultural heritage and education sectors. The course duration is 14 hours and will be delivered online via MS Teams. More information is available at http://cla.unimc.it/it/corsi/corsispecialistici2324/inglese
The course is tailored for students who have intermediate/upper-intermediate level English proficiency, equal to or close to a B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course will conclude with a final assessment.
Prof. Sara Castagnoli and Prof. Antonio Fruttaldo designed the course in response to students' educational needs as part of the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism courses. Students of the L-1&L-15, LM-49 and LM-89 degree courses can take the course as an elective student activity for the academic year 2023/24. Upon attending the classes and passing the course's final assessment, students can obtain 1 CFU. Prof. Fruttaldo will carry out the verbalization upon registration and after passing an oral interview to ensure the course's contents have been acquired.
Although the timetable for the course is still being finalized, students can register by filling out the form at https://forms.gle/b2o8dA7sZWUxDr2j7
Best regards,
Antonio Fruttaldo
