The topic for the session of February, 11th is the following:

Human dignity is one of the most powerful and meaningful principles affecting constitutional settings. Relying on the materials proposed along the course, sketch a definition of it, discuss why it is present in some constitutional systems and not in others, and refer to some case proving how it is applied and with what consequences.

The topic for the session of January, 28th is the following:

In most of the cases we dealt with during the course, concurring and dissenting opinions played a significant role in contributing to shape the future turn of events, when previous decisions were modified or overruled. Select the case-law in which you noticed this implication and express your comment on it.

The topic for the session of January, 14th is the following:

Through many of the cases we dealt with during the course, we repeatedly discussed on the relation between the will of the majority and the protection of minorities. Describe this relation and how courts handle the possible contrasts between the two, and express your comments.

Students who are going to take the Comparative Public Law exam have to consult this page five days before the exam session they signed up for:

- January, 9th (for the session of the 14th)

- January, 23rd (for the session of the 28th)

- February, 6th (for the session of the 11th)

In each of the aforementioned days, in this section it will be published the topic they need to prepare their paper on. They will have to deliver it to me via e-mail at the following address: b.barbisan@gmail.com within three days:

- by January, 12th (for the session of the 14th)

- by January, 26th (for the session of the 28th)

- by February, 9th (for the session of the 11th)

The paper should be 2000 words max long and presented in a .doc or .docx format.

On the day of the exam, I will show the paper with my revisions and we will discuss about it and about other contents of the course during the oral exam.
