Titolo Perceptions of (In)security and Forms of Legal Protections in Times of Crisis (IPC)
Settore ERC SH2_8: Legal theory, legal systems, constitutions, comparative law
Abstract IPC is a collaborative and trans-disciplinary research project that aims to investigate the link between the demand for and the forms of legal protection in relation to two dynamic factors: perceptions of security (and insecurity) and the crisis situation. The research will combine specific, present-oriented and data-driven analyses with a broader hermeneutic focus on the phenomenology of the current crisis. In a truly trans-disciplinary spirit, social science approaches are integrated with perspectives elaborated in the field of philosophy and the humanities, in order to expand and deepen the contextualisation of the conceptual polarities – security-insecurity, certainty-fear, crisis-stability – identified as the specific object of inquiry. This integrated approach enables the interpretation and problematisation of events, data and objectives from different perspectives, thus opening up the possibility of re-thinking such polarities with an eye to both scientific excellence and the applied potential of expected outcomes.

Titolo REACH: Re-designing access to CH for a wider participation in preservation, (re)use and management of European culture
Settore ERC SH5_11: Cultural heritage, cultural memory
Abstract In the context of radical social changes taking place at global levels, Europe faces a serious challenge: the need for its citizens to live together in peace and mutual respect and to value and enjoy the diversity of cultures, which they bring to their respective societies. The REACH project is based on the proposition that CH plays an important role in contributing to social integration in Europe, and that a fuller and more detailed picture of the range, type and impact of research and participatory research methodologies, current and future, associated with these subjects will further enhance their potential for social good.
